Episodes will not only bring you the specifics of addiction including the neurobiology of addiction and how that translates into the 'real world' but they will also bring you interviews from individuals in early or long-term recovery, therapists, family members, friends, clergy, treatment providers and so much more! Ted Hartwell, Executive Director of the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling, returns to discuss more details surrounding, and about, gambling addiction. We will cover some risk factors that differ from substance use disorders, the progression of this disease, different treatments, as well as the often not discussed or heard about ramifications. Individuals who gamble, "we tend to impact 7-8 other people significantly" making this not a victimless disease.
